Inter Personal Communication in Music

Music is usually a collective effort. You get together with a group of friends and swing some ideas and then some tunes into air and it starts to develop a rhythm and if things go well it gets liked by many people.

When you work with people from different walks of life, for example a part time bar tender who is a also a good drummer gets together with a exotic dancer who happens to be a  good bass guitarist and a doctor who loves to sing, you have one thing in common, your love for music, but you also have many things which are not so common at all. This where effective communication skills comes  to your rescue.

You can not be a loner and succeed in this industry. If you really want to succeed you will have to become friends with many  people, some of whom you may not even like. But hey, you are here to  because you love music, not because you hate someone, so do what it takes to get where you want to go.

Learning to get along with other people is really a gift. I am not talking about mixing up with gangbangers and gangsta bullies, unless you are one of them. No Sweat, I personally know some of the Record company’s execs who are  more toxic and harmful than my gansta friends.

Bottom line, Get good in your inter personal communication skills.  Learn to get along other people and you can reach your place of stars easily
